Mabel Williams, 74, had family in New Milford
She was born Jan. 14, 1935, in Danbury, daughter of the late Albert and Antoinette (Penny) Johnson.
Mrs. Williams was a longtime resident of New Fairfield. She was a member of the New Fairfield Historical Society since 1971.
In addition to her husband of 55 years, she will be sadly missed by her seven sons, David and his wife Cindy of Moorehead, N.C., Richard of New Fairfield, Alan and his wife Patti of New Milford, Kevin of New Fairfield, Douglas and his wife Wendy of New Fairfield, Thomas and his wife Gina of New Milford and Raymond Jr. and his wife Michele of Danbury; 18 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
She is also survived by two brothers, Robert Johnson and his wife Joan and Richard T. Johnson and his wife Millie, all of New Fairfield; two sisters, Dorothy Landsiedel of Brookfield and Shirley Porwitzki of New Milford; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Albert and Oliver Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at the New Fairfield Congregational Church
Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
The Cornell Memorial Home of Danbury was in charge of arrangements.
