Louise Marie (Leonard) Fusco, 92, of New Milford, died Feb. 7, 2010, in Tarpon Springs, Fla.

Mrs. Fusco was born April 5, 1917, in Danbury, the daughter of late Dominick and Angeline (Chesto) Octavio.

She graduated from Danbury High School in 1935.

In 1954, Mrs. Fusco and her husband, Peter Michael Fusco Sr., started P & G Sanitation. Following the death of Mr. Fusco nine years later, Mrs. Fusco ran P & G Sanitation until her retirement in 1981. Upon her retirement to Port Charlotte, Fla., she sold the business to her son, Peter Michael Fusco Jr.

In June 2000, Mrs. Fusco moved back to Connecticut to be closer to her children. She spent winters in Florida and returned to Connecticut each spring.

Mrs. Fusco loved to work on crossword puzzles and travel, so long as it was by automobile, and enjoyed music, music concerts and an occasional visit to a casino.

Mrs. Fusco is survived by her seven children and their spouses, Robert and Jacqueline (Nasif) Leonard, of New Fairfield, William and Donna Leonard, of New Milford, Anthony and Linda (Radeshi) Fusco, of Brookfield, Keith and Barbara (Fusco) Radcliffe, of Tarpon Springs, Peter Fusco, of Danbury, Carl and Patricia (Fusco) Peterson, of New Milford, and Ben and Lisa (Carter) Fusco, of Sandy Hook; a brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Shan Octavio, of Joshua Tree, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; a godson, Carmen Deicke; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Octavio.

Calling hours will be held today (Friday) from 1 to 3 p.m. at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St. in Danbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at 9 a.m. at St. Peter Church in Danbury. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.
