Minor Memorial Library in Roxbury will open "Field Work: Photographing for `Edible Nutmeg'" with a reception July 13 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The show, which will feature photographs by Robert Lockhart, editor and co-publisher of "Edible Nutmeg," will run through Aug. 19.

Lockhart has been photographing since high school and continued to pursue his art at Washington and Lee University where he majored in English and worked as university photographer after graduation.

He served as co-director of the Genesis Project, a multi-disciplinary program on Ossabaw, one of the Georgia barrier islands.

After photographing extensively on Ossabaw, he photographed for "The Georgia Gazette," a Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper in Savannah.

During the late 1970s and 1980s, Lockhart exhibited his photography in several juried exhibitions.

The show may be seen at the South Street library Mondays from noon to 7 p.m., Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursdays from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
