A handful of gardens in Litchfield County, including several in the New Milford area, will participate in the Garden Conservancy's Litchfield County annual Open Day June 21.

Patrons may visit both private and public gardens.

Participating private gardens include those of Buddy and Monika Nixon at 44 Kent Hollow Road in Kent, and Linda Allard's Highmeadow and Charles Raskob Robinson and Barbara Paul Robinson's Brush Hill Gardens, both in Washington.

They will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Directions to the latter two gardens are available by visiting the "Open Days Directory" by calling 888-842-2442.

A public garden, Hollister House Garden, at 300 Nettleton Hollow Road in Washington will also be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

In addition, the private gardens of Lee Link in Sharon (call 888-842-2442 for directions), Angela Cruger at 86 Wells Hill Road in Lakeville and Bunny Williams in Falls Village (call 888-842-2442 for directions) will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the garden of Michael Trapp at 7 River Road in West Cornwall will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission to the majority of gardens is $5.
