The Local Artists Crafts Group, which serves the Greater New Milford area, will hold its holiday sale Nov. 27-29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in New Milford.
The event, which will feature handcrafted in America goods by local artists, will take place at the railroad station on Railroad Street.
A percentage of the sales will be donated to the Animal Welfare Society, Inc. based in New Milford, which serves the towns of New Milford, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Roxbury and Washington.
Offerings will include photography by Don Turner, who is mainly self-taught and mostly influenced by the work of Eliot Porter and Great Depression era photographers, and who recently won first place at the Friends of the Great Swamp photo competition; jewelry by Cynthia Battista, whose works for men and women feature traditional metals along with fossils, found objects and recycled materials; and fused glass by Linda Banks, whose expertise of fused glass and its expansive techniques led her to share her craft through teaching at crafts centers in several states.
It will also feature textiles by Celeste Bellemare, who learned to weave with a tour company in Ireland and whose woven items reflect the colors and texture of the Irish countryside and silk scarves mimic the shapes and colors found in nature; pottery and paintings by Jan Lesnikoski, who creates decorative garden pottery, still life and natures cape paintings in oil and watercolor; and feather and gourd art y Bern Richards, whose work evolves around nature themes, dream time symbolism and the balance of harmony on Earth walks.
It will also include handmade natural soaps by Reese Pipe, whose products include vegan and vegetarian lines; and metal art by Rob Wotzak, who transforms stainless flatware, old copper flashing and scrap steel into nature-inspired garden art and other decorative pieces.
Other artisans have been invited to participate to add to the diversity of items available to purchase.
