The Kent Historical Society's next Sunday Series program will be held May 15 at 2 p.m. at town hall on Kent Green.

The program will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.

Ernie Barker will portray Frederick A. Lucas of Goshen, a veteran of the war who served with the Second Connecticut Heavy Artillery from August 1862 to August 1865.

Dressed in period costume, Mr. Barker will portray Mr. Lucas from the 1880s, after his time serving in the state legislature.

During the war, Mr. Lucas rose from a corporal to a second lieutenant and was wounded twice.

Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
