Minor Memorial Library in Roxbury will open "Mono No Aware: The Awareness of Things" with a reception Nov. 3 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The show, which will run through Dec. 10, will feature an exhibit of digital photography, sumi-e brushwork, monoprinting and encaustic by artist Terri Tibbatts.

Ms. Tibbatts is a book artist and calligrapher who has produced fine art books, broadsides and catalogues.

She arranges plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables on her scanner and adds old fabrics, handmade papers and pottery for texture. Later, she adds monoprints derived from her brushwork drawings and then infuses some of the images with a layer of encaustic medium and paint.

The show at the South Street library may be seen Mondays from noon to 7 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursdays from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
