Minor Memorial Library in Roxbury will kick off its summer reading program, “Build a Better World,” June 23 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The event will be held in conjunction with the Roxbury Recreation Commission at Hurlburt Park on Apple Lane.

Bounce houses, face painting, food, music, and games will be available, and children can sign up for the reading program.

Children have the opportunity to earn prizes by reading for the program, which will run from June 23 through July 23 at 11:30 a.m.

In conjunction with the summer program, the library will offer a variety of programs for children and families, including movie Mondays, with popcorn and a drawing at 4 p.m. each week, and special performances such as speed stacking, old time music and a puppet show.
