Letter from the Superindentent
Dear Families, Students and Community:
The Board of Education, administrators, teachers, support staff and I welcome you to the 2004-2005 school year. We invite you to be an active participant in pursuing our ultimate goal that all students will reach high standards, at a minimum attaining proficiency or better in reading/language arts, mathematics, science and social studies.
Students, teachers and administrators continue to demonstrate outstanding achievements in academic scholarship, professional recognition and awards, innovative classroom instruction and learning experiences. We are committed to the academic, emotional, physical and social growth and development of everyone in the Danbury Public Schools.
Family and community involvement is strong and a major contributing factor to the success of students in the Danbury Public Schools. Therefore, it is important for you to know that schools can not achieve the above goal without the support of families and community organizations. We are committed to respect all families as our partners in the education of all the children in our schools.
I encourage families to be engaged in their children's education. Your help makes a difference. I encourage all students to work hard in school. Effort over Time equals Excellence. I encourage community support of children and schools. We can't do it alone.
"A Quality Public School System Benefits All Citizens"
