TheatreWorks New Milford will open its production of the classic romantic comedy “Bell, Book & Candle” by John Van Druten Dec. 4 at 8 p.m.

Following opening night, the play will be staged Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. through Jan. 9, as well as Dec. 13 and 20 at 2 p.m.

In addition, a gala fundraising performance will be staged Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. It will include an open bar and hors d’oeuvres.

The cast will include James Hipp of New Milford, Jeff Rossman of New Fairfield, and Jody Bayer, Jenny Schuck and Matt Austin of Danbury.

The play is under the direction of Joseph Russo of New Milford.

Tickets for all shows are $23. Students and military personnel with ID will be admitted for $18. Seniors are invited to a free dress rehearsal Dec. 3 at 8 p.m. A pay-what-you-can-night will be held Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. Tickets to the Dec. 31 show are $85.

The theater is located at 5 Brookside Ave., but parking is behind the Catherine E. Lillis Building off East Street.
