Lauds vols 'caring' for Historical Society
To the Editor:
On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the New Milford Historical Society, I wish to thank everyone who took part in the Day of Caring on June 8 at the New Milford Historical Society.
This yearly event is sponsored by the Greater United Way.
This year we were honored to have volunteers from Kimberly-Clark Corporation assist and support us in activities at the New Milford Historical Society, located on Aspetuck Avenue, and the Hill and Plain one-room school house, located on Sullivan Road.
The eight men and women from Kimberly-Clark, along with trustees and members of the historical society, spent the day in cleaning and maintenance work, including repairing and washing windows, moving furniture, cleaning closets and yard work.
Thank you to all who participated:
Also, Pat and Ron Lathrope, Jerry and Kathy Hyland, Nettie McKenna, Joanne Lillis, Linda Anderson, Susan Metcalf, Kathy Kelly-Koch, Bob Coppola and Robin Stack from the New Milford Historical Society.
