To to the Editor:

I write in support of and to encourage everyone to vote for Andrew Roraback, Clark Chapin and Cecilia Buck-Taylor in their respective races on Nov. 6.

All three have a proven track record of true public service to all of our benefit.

Andrew Roraback is running for the 5th District Congressional seat and has served 17 years in our General Assembly as a state representative and currently as state senator.

As proven in his voting and attendance record, his commitment to his constituents cannot be questioned.

I know through experience his common sense approach to problem solving.

Andrew has been widely recognized for his work on education, criminal justice, domestic violence and environmental issues.

Andrew will make sure we are well represented in Washington and not overlooked due to our state's size.

Clark Chapin is running for the 30th District state senate seat, is currently our 67th District state representative and has faithfully served our district for 12 years.

A New Milford native from a well-known and respected farming family, Clark has received awards from Working Lands Alliance, the Connecticut Farm Bureau and Connecticut Water Works Association, to name a few, for his leadership on agricultural and environmental issues.

Clark stands behind a practical approach to legislation, providing true advocacy of issues important to our community.

Clark is well informed on local and state issues and knows the importance of informed leadership, hard work and the accountability necessary to be a state senator.

He is not a newcomer to the General Assembly and understands the commitment and importance of being present and accounted for by not missing important votes in the interest of his constituents.

Cecilia Buck-Taylor is running for the 67th District state representative and is a well-known and respected attorney in New Milford.

She has been working for our community through her many years of volunteer service.

She currently serves on the Town Council and the Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce.

She formerly served on the Board of Education, Economic Development Commission, United Way and the list goes on.

As a longtime attorney, she brings the experience in mediation and dispute resolution which is greatly needed in Hartford.

Cecilia is well informed of current events and local concerns, and will be able to confidently succeed as the 67th District state representative.

I respectfully ask you to support these well-qualified candidates.

Pat Murphy
