Krebs earns women's laurels in Roxbury
Chris Scannell, 24, outran a field of 70 runners last Saturday, March 12, to win a 3.52-mile event as part of Roxbury's weekly race series.
Theresa Krebs, 41, of Roxbury was the first female finisher with her overall 12th-place time of 25:07. The series will continue its 35th season tomorrow (Saturday), March 19 at 8:30 a.m. with a run in the oppostie direction over the same 3.52-mile course.
There will be no entry fee.
The series is sanctioned by the Roxbury Recreation Commission. Most races start and finish near Hurlburt Community Park on West Apple Lane.
