TheatreWorks New Milford is offering local youths several theater opportunities.

Larry Engler of Poko Puppets will offer a "Making A Pipper & Bringing it To Life" workshop May 18. He will demonstrate how to make a simple puppet using ordinary items such as paper plates, plastic bags, and other materials at home.

The fee is $75.

A workshop for kids 12 to 18 will be offered June 9 from noon to 6 p.m. with Broadway professionals Ben Simpson, Dan Micciche and Tony Award nominee Robin DeJesus. It will focus on style, technique and performance quality.

TheatreWorks Kids, open to children ages 7 to 14, will meet for rehearsals Mondays through Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m. starting June 24, culiminating in performances of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" the weekend of July 20.

Tuition is $325.

TheatreWorks Stage 2, open to teens, will hold rehearsals Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon in preparation of performances of "Man of La Mancha" Aug. 9-10.

Tuition is $350.
