The Gunn Junior Library in Washington is offering many programs for children’s during October.

Story times will include Two’s Time for 2-year-olds and their caregivers Fridays through Nov. 17 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. and Book Buddies for 3- and 4-year-old children Fridays through Nov. 17 from 2:15 to 3 p.m.

In addition, after-school programs for primary school children will feature seasonal themes, books, crafts, games and snacks.

Kindergarten and first grade story craft will run Tuesdays through Nov. 14 from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m., while story craft for second and third graders will run Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. through Nov. 16.

Parents/caregivers should contact Washington Primary School if a child needs to ride the after-school bus to the library.

An after-school Wii tournament for fourth and fifth graders Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. through Nov. 16.

Participants will do homework for 20-25 minutes, have a snack and then play Wii.

Saturday family programs will include a paper flower craft Oct. 7 at 1 p.m., a screening of “Captain Underpants” Oct. 14 at 1 p.m., pumpkin painting (bring own pumpkin; all other supplies provided) Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a Halloween costume party and parade Oct. 28 at 1 p.m.
