The Kent Park and Recreation Department is offering a variety of programs.

Office hours on the second floor at town hall are Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon. and 1 to 2:30 p.m. Program registration forms are available outside the office weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Learn to swim

Sessions will meet Mondays through Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Aug. 2 to 13 with 30-minute classes for youths aged 5 and older at Emery Park. A park pass is required for participation. Registration forms are available at the park daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. or at the Park and Recreation office.


Seniors' blood pressure

The next free monthly blood pressure screening for Kent seniors conducted by the New Milford Visiting Nurse Association will be held Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Senior Center on Swift Lane. Appointments are not necessary.

Yoga Fitness Fusion

Bonnie Jo Cheron instructs sessions blending yoga and pilates Thursdays from 5:45 to 7 p.m. at the Community House on North Main Street (Route 7). Cost is $75 for six meetings or $15 per class.
