The Kent Memorial Library on Main Street in Kent has announced its upcoming offerings.

Dr. Betty Krasne will lead a discussion of "Writers as Ventriloquists: Re-Imagining Lives" Dec. 29 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Programs for young adults will include a screening of "Mr. Popper's Penguins" for all ages Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. (not a drop-off program); "Zoo Truck" for children 3 and older Dec. 28 at 11 a.m. (not a drop-off program); "Cartooning with Rick Stromoski" for students in grade 3 and up Dec. 30 at 1 p.m. (not a drop-off program); a screening of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2" for children 9 and older Dec. 30 at 6:30 p.m.; and a New Year's Eve day story hour for children 3 to 9 Dec. 31 at 10:30 a.m.; Rhythm and Rhyme for children birth to 3 Tuesdays at 10:45 a.m.; and Lunch Bunch for all ages Thursdays at 12:15 p.m.

In addition, "Tanglewood Marionettes: An Arabian Adventure" for all ages will be held Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church at the corner of Route 341 and North Main Street (not a drop-off program).

Programs for all ages will include a poetry workshop Dec. 17 at 10 a.m. and Chess Club Dec. 17 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Adult offerings will include yoga Saturdays at 8:30 a.m.
