The town of Kent will kick off its holiday festivities with the second annual Kent Holiday Champagne Stroll Nov. 28-29 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Patrons may purchase a $10 ticket to sample more than 30 champagnes at participating businesses.

Attendees will begin at the Swift House at 10 Maple St. to purchase a map and receive a champagne glass and id bracelet. Registration is available at

Other holiday events will include:

St. Andrew's Episcopal Church at the corner of routes 7 and 341 will kick off its annual Christmas tree sales Nov. 30.

The third annual Gingerbread Festival will be held Dec. 5 through Jan. 5.

The town's tree lighting ceremony will be held Dec. 6 at 5 p.m.

Kent Greenhouse and Gardens will sponsor horse and carriage rides Dec. 7 from noon to 4 p.m.

Pictures with Santa will be held Dec. 7 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Backcountry Outfitters, Route 341.
