Kent Park and Recreation notes
The Kent Park and Recreation Department is offering a variety of programs.
Office hours on the second floor at town hall are Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon. and 1 to 2:30 p.m. Program registration forms are available outside the office weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A volunteer camp counselor position for Kent teens aged 14 or 15 is available.
Volunteer counselors will donate their time for a two-week time frame at Camp Kent, the commission's summer day camp program.
The volunteer would assist the camp director and counselors during sports, arts and crafts and swimming.
Participants would also be expected to adhere to the staff policies and procedures.
If interested, complete a job application, provide one reference letter from a teacher or supervisor (non-relative) and participate in an interview with the Park and Rec director, camp director and a commission member.
Application deadline will be April 13.
Camp Kent will run June 28 through Aug. 19. Volunteer counselors will work Mondays through Fridays from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. For information or to volunteer, call 860-927-1003 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Yoga Fitness Fusion
Bonnie Jo Cheron instructs sessions blending yoga and pilates Thursdays from 5:45 to 7 p.m. at the Community House on North Main Street (Route 7). Cost is $75 for six meetings or $15 per class.
Ballet and jazz dance classes for youths aged 4 to sixth grade and jazz and tap for adults are offered at the Community House, directed by former Rockettes and Broadway dancer Jeri Kansas at the Community House. Pre-registration is required.
