Karen E. Randolph, 58, of New Milford, died July 4 at the University of Connecticut Medical Center in Farmington, after a long battle with cancer. She was the wife of Daniel I. Randolph.

Mrs. Randolph was born July 6, 1952, in Bridgeport, daughter of Curtis W. McKay Sr., of Newtown, and the late Clarice (Soucy) McKay.

She was raised in Newtown and was a graduate of Newtown High School, Class of 1971.

Mrs. Randolph was employed as a pharmacy technician and last worked for Walmart. More recently, she was a part-time caregiver to her granddaughters.

She will be remembered as being very outgoing. She was well respected by her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, and father, she is survived by her children, Dawn Randolph, of Wake Forest, N.C., Karen Altomari-Nelson, of Southington, Dana Mihaylo, of Prospect, and Daniel I. Randolph Jr., of New Milford; a brother, Curtis W. McKay Jr., of Newtown; 10 grandchildren; and one to be born this coming October.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow (Saturday) at 11:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown, Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery in Danbury.

Friends may call today (Friday) from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St. in Newtown.
