The Kent Volunteer Fire Department will hold its 102nd annual ball June 8.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner to follow at 7 p.m. at the firehouse at 28 Maple St.

"I am looking forward to seeing old friends and neighbors and welcoming new ones as we put on what is sure to be a memorable evening in the town of Kent," said KVFD member Dawn Molnar, chairwoman of the event.

Offerings will include appetizers from local restaurants, salads, dinner and dancing to the music spun by Key of D Music and raffles.

Dinner will consist of fire roasted roast beef and non-beef dishes, chicken, fish and stuffed shells.

Guests may bring their own beverages. Setups will be provided.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door, space permitting the evening of the ball.

Invitations have gone out in the mail but residents who have not yet received one may email to request one.
