Kent Art Association will open its fall juried show Sept. 16 with a reception and awards presentation at 2 p.m.

The reception and presentation will honor the late Dolph Traymon, who with his wife Audrey opened the Fife ‘n Drum Restaurant Kent and were good friends and patrons of the KAA.

Traymon was also an extraordinary pianist who played piano for entertainers such as Peggy Lee and Frank Sinatra and, since its opening, at the “Fife” until he was well into his 90s.

The show will run through Oct. 9

The judges for the show are Mary and Keith Davidson of South Egremont, Mass.

The 21 South Main St. gallery is open Thursdays through Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. and by appointment, as well as holiday Mondays from 1 to 5 p.m.
