John Yoblonski, 69, was an avid outdoorsman

John Henry Yoblonski, 69, of New Milford, died Feb. 24, 2011, at his home. He was the husband of the late Carol Theresa Yoblonski for 46 years.

Mr. Yoblonski was born July 20, 1941, in New Milford, the youngest son of the late Joseph Raymond Yoblonski and the late Caroline Elvira (Campbell) Yoblonski.

He was a resident of New Milford all of his life and attended New Milford High School.

He met and married his wife, Carol Theresa (LeBrun) Yoblonski, in 1962.

Mr. Yoblonski worked for a cabinet shop with his brother, then as a truck driver for Wetmore Feed Co. He later went on to work for E. Paul Kovacs Co.

Mr. Yoblonski was a member of The International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union Local 677 for more than 30 years until becoming a retiree in 2008.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved baseball and bird-watching.

In his younger years, he rode motorcycles and bred champion hunting dogs, winning many trophies.

Mr. Yoblonski enjoyed telling stories of days gone by, but he would also lend an ear to others.

He is remembered as an active man who was hardworking, helpful, kind and generous.

Mr. Yoblonski is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Tina Argenio, of Clarksville, N.H., and Mrs. Valarie Primerano, of Bethlehem; two sons-in-law, Mark Argenio and Donald S. Primerano; a brother, Walter Yoblonski, of Sun City, Fla.; a sister, Dorothy Doyle, of Safety Harbor, Fla.; a grandson, Joseph Primerano; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Yoblonski was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Edward and James Yoblonski, and four sisters, Caroline Murphy, Margaret Polzun, Josephine Bryer and Marilyn Begasse.

Services will be held at the Colonial Funeral Home, 87 Park Lane Road, New Milford, March 12, at 1 p.m.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and a gathering of friends will follow at the VFW in New Milford.
