Jewish center sets events

The Jewish Community Center in Sherman will offer a variety of programs.

Pub night will be presented March 4 at 8 p.m. by the Sherman Chamber Ensemble at the center. English publick house traditional music, libations and refreshments will be featured.

Advance reservations are suggested.

Edmund Morris will speak and sign copies of his new book, "Colonel Roosevelt," the final volume in his trilogy about Theodore Roosevelt, March 6 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Mr. Morris has won the Pulitzer Prize and American Book Award and has written for "The New Yorker," "The New York Times" and "Harper's Magazine."

Movement imagination with Adelka Polack for children aged 3 to 5 will be offered March 7 at 10:30 a.m.

A series of guided meditation sessions will be led by Nicole Davis March 11 at 7 p.m. at a cost of $10.

Classes will include zumba Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 9:30 a.m.; gentle yoga Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. with Colleen Krempel and Fridays at 10:40 a.m. with Janine Mangiameli.
