Jayne DelGrosso, 79, retired from hospital

Jayne M. (Wilson) DelGrosso, 79, of Naugatuck, died Oct. 1 at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford. She was the widow of John M. DelGrosso Sr.

She was born Jan. 18, 1934, in Paulsboro, N.J., daughter of the late Willard R. and Marie (Richards) Wilson.

She was a longtime Naugatuck resident and retired from Waterbury Hospital after 21 years of service.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, summers at Wildwood Crest, N.J., and was an avid Yankees fan. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church.

She is survived by two sons, John M. DelGrosso Jr., of Seattle, and Michael J. DelGrosso, of Washington; a daughter, Leanne DelGrosso, and her longtime partner, Allison Bresloff, of Cheshire; a sister, Ann Miskofsky, of New Jersey; four grandchildren, Danielle Accetura, Eric Koonitsky, Mary Brown and Breanna DelGrosso; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, MaryBeth DelGrosso; a son, Kevin DelGrosso; a grandson, John DelGrosso III; two brothers, retired Col. George M. Wilson (USMC) and Robert Wilson; and two sisters, Wilma G. Walter and Lillian Lehem.

Burial was at St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck.

Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home in Naugatuck was in charge of arrangements.
