Ann Jamieson, of Kent, has announced the release of the fourth volume of her "For the Love of the Horse" book series.

The books are all collections of true stories about horses.

The newest volume features more than 30 stories, including one about Neville Bardos, who was rescued twice by Boyd Martin: Once from slaughter and the second time from a burning barn; one about Ice Road Trucker Lisa Kelly whose horse disappeared but was eventually located; and one about 8-year-old Claire Fraise, who wanted a horse and made a bet with her father that if she could swim across Tyler Lake she could have a horse. Ms. Jamieson will speak at Lendon Gray's weekend education program March 10 at Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury.
