James Ross, 49, was an outdoors man
James Cory Ross, 49, died suddenly Aug. 20, 2010.
Mr. Ross was born Aug. 18, 1961, in San Diego, Calif., son of Jean (Ross) Rondeau of Bridgewater and the late Robert W. Ross.
With a passion for minerals and gems, Mr. Ross was a well-respected member of the Bristol Gem and Mineral Club and traveled to rock and mineral shows across the country.
Mr. Ross enjoyed scuba diving, skiing and hiking and was an all-around outdoorsman.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Ross is survived by a son, Ian R. Ross, of Terryville; his stepfather, William Rondeau, of Bridgewater; a brother, Scott D. Ross Sr., and his wife, Laura, of New Preston; two nephews, Scott Jr. and Connor Ross; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The Cornell Memorial Home of Danbury was in charge of arrangements.
