James McKenzie, 51, had worked at Chuck's Steakhouse
James Edward McKenzie, 51, died suddenly in his home in Honolulu, Hawaii, Aug. 8, 2010.
Mr. McKenzie was born March 13, 1959, in New Milford, son of Edward and Rosemaire McKenzie of Danbury.
Mr. McKenzie was employed for many years by Chuck's Steak House in Danbury and continued to work for Chuck's when he moved to Hawaii.
Most recently, he was a supervisor for the U.S. Post Office in Honolulu.
Mr. McKenzie loved to travel and enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life.
He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, a love surpassed only by the love he had for his family and friends.
Mr. McKenzie is survived by his parents; a sister, Betty Esposito, and her husband, Paul, of Sherman; a brother, Bob McKenzie, and his wife, Michelle, of Danbury; a brother, Doug McKenzie, and his wife, Carol, of Newtown; a sister, Mary Nimer, and her husband, Gary, of Brookfield; a sister, Laurie White, and her husband, Chris, of Phoenix, Ariz.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial funeral Mass will be held Aug. 16, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road in Danbury. There will be no calling hours.
