James Dux Sr., served in the U.S. Army

James A. Dux Sr., of New Fairfield, died May 7, 2010, at Bethel Health Care Center. He was the husband of Arlene (Burgett) Dux for 52 years.

Mr. Dux served in the Army Reserve and in the U.S. Army.

He had lived in Baldwin, Long Island, N.Y., where he was instrumental in forming the Baldwin Bombers Pop Warner Football Organization, serving as its president before moving to New Fairfield in 1972.

Mr. Dux worked in the aircraft industry, retiring from Sikorsky Aircraft in 1996.

Besides his wife, Mr. Dux is survived by a son, James A. Dux Jr., of Maine, and his three children, James A. III, Georgia and Louis A. Dux, of Goshen; two daughters, Wendy Morrissey, and her two children, Sean, and Kathleen, of Sherman, and Laura Crea, and her children, Christina, Betty, and Annie; and a great-grandchild, James, of New Fairfield.

The Green Funeral Home of Danbury was in charge of arrangements.
