James Correa, 83, was a self-employed carpenter
Mr. Correa was born in Taunton, Mass., July 4, 1924, son of the late Manuel and Beatrice (Santos) Correa.
Mr. Correa was a veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Army.
He lived in New Milford since 1960 and worked as a self-employed carpenter.
He was a member of the V.F.W. Post No. 1672 of New Milford.
He enjoyed spending time with his friends at Dunkin Donuts.
He is survived by a son, James Edward Correa, Jr. and his wife Carolyn; two daughters, Michelle Bennett and her husband Jeff, and Linda Hull; a sister, Alice Whitlock; and nine grandchildren, Rachel, Ryan, Rebecca, Nicholas, Colby, Lindsey, Ray, Jimmy and Jillian.
The Lillis Funeral Home of New Milford was in charge of arrangements.
