The Jewish Community Center in Sherman will offer a variety of programs in the coming weeks.

The monthly musical jamboree, with performances by Julie Corbalis, Caroline Cotter and Don Lowe will be held Jan. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students with ID cards.

A six-week “The Place of Peace: Meditation and Journaling” class for adults will be held March 4 through April 8.

Life coach Shannon Marzella will lead the class set to meet Wednesdays from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m.

The cost is $75 for members and $90 for non-members.

“The Great Decisions 2016” series will begin April 10.

The discussion group, which focuses on world affairs, will meet from 10 a.m. to noon.

The program model involves reading the “Great Decisions Briefing Book,” watching the DVD and meeting in a discussion Group to discuss the most critical global issues facing America today.

Each year, eight topics are chosen by a panel of experts.

The cost is $50 per person.
