Irving Frederick Morey, 77, died April 10 at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Victoria Shook-Morey.

He was born Sept. 24, 1935, on a farm in Danbury, son of the late Irving and Marguerite Butler Morey. He graduated from Bethel schools in 1953 and entered the National Guard, serving from 1953-65.

He worked as a mason for Rich Construction in Ridgefield for three years, was a milk delivery man for Marcus Dairy for 14 years, and he owned Town & Country Sanitation from 1969-92, at which time he retired. He then worked part time in the New Fairfield school cafeteria for a few years. He worked on several farms in the area growing up.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Dale Morey, and his wife, Kathleen, and William Morey, and his wife, Louise; two daughters, Michele Fragomeli, and her husband, John, and Leslie Koellmer, and her husband, John; seven grandchildren, Christopher and Courtney Fragomeli, John Paul Jr., Olive and Tyler Koellmer, and Heather and Erica Morey; three stepchildren, Stephanie Martin, George French and Jennifer French; seven stepgrandchildren, Alex and Luciano; Cassie, Julia and Asher; Keith and Samantha; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Madison and Ava; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Olive Schultz Morey, a sister, Clara Magilton; and a brother-in-law, Wilbert Magilton.

Services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
