Gunn Memorial Library in Washington will offer a program of traditional Irish dancing March 12 at 1 p.m.

Abigail, Elizabeth, Susan and Kylie Dugan, sisters from New Preston, will be decked out in Irish dance for the performance at the Wykeham Road library.

The Dugans will showcase both hard and soft shoe dances, jigs, slip jigs, reels and the very traditional St. Patrick’s Day dance step.

Oldest sister Abigail, who is also a page at the library, has trained and performed with the Horgan Academy of Irish Dance and Gray’s Academy.

She enjoys performing and hopes to attain champion level.

She has even created some of her own original dance steps.

Abigail and Elizabeth have entertained at story hour in the Junior Library for many years.

Following the 25 minute performance, children and families can attend a craft opportunity in the Junior Library.
