The Institute for American Indian Studies in Washington will open an exhibit of fiber works by Vera Longtoe Sheehan March 4.

The exhibit, which will run through May 31, will include a reception with the artist April 7 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Some of Ms. Sheehan's twined bags, baskets and textiles have appeared in films and literature.

The exhibit may be seen Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
