Hopkins Vineyard and Hopkins Inn in Warren will co-present a “Hopkins and Hopkins” wine dinner April 15 at 6:30 p.m.

The event will feature a five-course meal with accompanying wines in the inn’s main dining room, which overlooks Lake Waramaug.

The inn’s culinary team, headed by Franz Reiter and Toby Fossland, has created the menu, each course served with a selected premium wine from the Hopkins Vineyard.

The evening will begin with a sparkling wine reception and passed hors d’oeuvres, and an introduction by James Baker, Hopkins Vineyard winemaker.

Served at the table will be cream of ramp soup paired with Hopkins 2015 Estate Bottled Duet; mesclun greens and seared scallops garnished with pumpkin seeds and Gorgonzola cheese, and Kernöl (an Austrian pumpkin seed oil) dressing, and accompanied by Hopkins 2015 Estate Bottled Lady Rosé; medallions of beef filet with Bordelaise sauce, steamed asparagus, baby carrots and rösti potatoes, accompanied by Hopkins 2014 Estate Bottled Lemberger; and Hopkins Inn cheesecake with fresh, warm raspberry sauce and a Hopkins 2014 Estate Bottled Ice Wine.

A vegetarian option is available upon request at the time of the reservation.
