The Warren Library will present a program on "Home Orcharding for the Aspiring Pomologist" April 19 at 8:30 a.m.

The three-hour program will take place at the Warren Community Center at 50 Cemetery Road.

Resident Peter Montgomery, of Montgomery Gardens, will be the guest speaker.

Montgomery, who is an Asian pear aficionado, recently created and presented this program in two parts for the Education Connection in Litchfield.

The talk will include information specifically for this area on climatology, geology, entomology, pomology, chemistry, botany and fruit tree selection -- the tools needed for better fruit tree yields.

Attendees are invited to visit Montgomery's orchards after the presentation.
