The Washington Art Association will hold its annual holiday sale Dec. 1-24.

The event will feature handcrafted gifts by local artisans.

A group of volunteers, designers and artists source and curate unique objects and will transform the galleries into shopping experience.

Event co-chairs Maryellen Furse and interior designer Bruce Glickman have planned a marketplace based on “hygee,” a Danish word used when acknowledging a feeling or moment, whether alone or with friends, at home or out, ordinary or extraordinary as cozy, charming or special.

The sale will be open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Dec. 24 at the association located in Bryan Plaza.
