Gaylordsville will offer a variety of holiday events in the coming days.

The Merwinsville Hotel in Gaylordsville will hold its “Christmas in Gaylordsville” event Nov. 25-27 and Dec. 2-4.

The historic hotel on Browns Forge Road will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, with extended hours until 7 p.m. Nov. 25 and Dec. 2.

Offerings will include hot chocolate, baked goods, artisans’ goods, seasonal displays and the sale of Christmas trees and wreaths, as well as story time Nov. 26 and Dec. 3 at 11 a.m.

The Gaylordsville United Methodist Church on Route 7 will host its Christmas fair Dec. 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Offerings will include a silent auction; the sale of handicrafts and ornaments; a cookie walk; a pickles and cheese table; a nearly new department; and the sale of Christmas decorations and more.

A soup and bread luncheon will be offered Dec. 3.

The Gaylordsvhille Historical Society will hold an open house at the Little Red Schoolhouse on Gaylord Road Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Offerings will include homemade cookies and hot drinks, and the sale of the new, updated version of John Flynn’s “History of Gaylordsville,” as well as Christmas cards and notepaper, and ornaments.

Ornaments are $5 with the purchase of a book.

The Gaylordsville Volunteer Fire Department and its Ladies Auxiliary will host a ham dinner Dec. 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the firehouse on Route 7, just north of the Gaylordsville bridge.

Photographs with Santa will be offered.

The community Christmas tree will be lighted Dec. 2, following the ham dinner.
