Sponsors are needed by the United Way of Western Connecticut for its 22nd annual Back to School clothing drive.
The program provides new school clothes for children living in Bridgewater, Kent, New Milford, Roxbury, Sherman, Warren and Washington.
Last year, 329 children received backpacks with supplies.
The goal is for each child to receive two sets of fall/winter clothing (pants and shirts), one pair of sneakers, a winter coat, three pairs of socks, three sets of underwear, a backpack with school supplies and personal care items.
Sponsors may sign up to clothe an entire child, join a group of individuals sponsoring a child or donate to the program.
Sponsors will receive a list of clothing sizes and preferences along with specific items needed.
The approximate cost is $250 per child.
Monetary donations are also accepted.
Shoppers, who will be reimbursed for purchases, are also needed.
Donations should be dropped off by Aug. 12.
