Helen (Winters) Beers, 89, died May 2 at Danbury Hospital.

Mrs. Beers was born May 21, 1921, in Southbury, daughter the late Lewis and Laury (Titus) Dennis.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed sketching pictures of birds and dogs.

Mrs. Beers lived a brief time in Virginia with her granddaughter, Angel Winters.

Mrs. Beers is survived by four sons, Lewis Jr., of New Milford, Kenneth, of Southbury, Lawrence, of Danbury, and Arthur, of New York; four daughters, Betty Lilley, of New York, Helen Gillotti, of Florida, Rosemary, of Waterbury, and Laurie, of Ansonia; 16 grandchildren, Brian, Patricia, Jeff, Richie, Kenneth Jr., Jessica, Beverley, Marie, Michael, William, Brandi, Clayton Jr., Mariana, Pedro, Christian, and Blessin; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by three sisters, Mary Montessi, Myrtle Moore and Edith Warner; three brothers, Nathaniel, Dennis and Arthur; four sons, Clayton, Wayne, Raymond, and Dennis; a daughter, Patricia Tilford; and a grandson, Billy Lilly.

There are no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at a later date by the family.
