Hedy (Stautner) Hoffman, 91, of Palm Bay, Fla., died April 6, 2012, after a short illness. She was the widow of Edward Hoffman.

Mrs. Hoffman was born Feb. 18, 1921, to the late Hedwig and Joseph Stautner, in Bavaria, Germany.

She immigrated to the Capital District at 7 with her parents and brothers, the late Joseph and Ernie.

She married Mr. Hoffman in 1946, and they resided in both the East Greenbush and Saranac Lake areas of New York. In later years, she lived in Kent and Florida.

Mrs. Hoffman is survived by three children, Hedy Kinney, and her husband, Jack, of South Kent, Edward Hoffman, and his wife, Carolyn, of Gansevoort, N.Y., and Lisa Batcher, and her husband, Michael, of Palm Bay; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was known for her love of both water and snow skiing, her German cooking, her passion for music and dance, and her devotion to her faith.

The Palm Bay Funeral Home of Palm Bay is in charge of arrangements.
