Hazel E. Box, 90, of Litchfield died Nov. 20 at Torrington Health and Rehab in Torrington. She was the wife of the late William Box.

She was born Dec. 1, 1921, in Washington, the daughter of the late Frederick and Jennie (Gloyd) Bennett.

She worked for and later retired from Thomaston Special Products/The Torrington Co.

She was an avid coin collector, enjoyed family genealogy and loved UConn women's basketball.

Mrs. Box is survived by a son, William Box Jr., and his wife, Donna; three daughters, Jennie Strong; Donna Bordua, and her husband, Danny; and Sandra Hansen, of Torrington; six grandchildren, Katherine Jenkins, William Box III, Leonard St. Denise, Michael Box, Denise Strong and Marc Hansen; 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

Burial was in Bantam Cemetery in Bantam.

The Rowe Funeral Home in Litchfield was in charge of arrangements.
