Harry R. Rothe, 62, a lifelong New Milford resident, died April 7, 2010, at New Milford Hospital.
Mr. Rothe was born Oct. 5, 1947, to the late Robert and Eileen (Hendrix) Rothe.
He worked for many years at J.P. Steven's, later known as New Milford Non Woven, and most recently worked as a self-employed handyman.
Mr. Rothe is survived by two daughters, Laura Swett and Amy Rothe; a son-in-law, Mark Swett; his longtime companion, Karla Anderson; the mother of his children, Donna Williams; three grandchildren, Shane, Tyler and Brett; three sisters, Linda Michaud, and her husband, Sam, Kathy Burns, and her husband, Bill, and Sue O'Dell, and her husband, Richard; a brother, Dennis Rothe, and his wife, Diane; a sister-in-law, Jane Rothe; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Jason Robert Rothe, and two brothers, Bobby and Jack Rothe.
A memorial service will be held May 22 at 2 p.m. at the Warren Congregational Church at 4 Sackett Hill Road in Warren.
The Rowe Funeral Home of Litchfield is in charge of arrangements.
