The Housatonic Valley Association (HVA) will host its annual auction Nov. 21 at Bryan Memorial Town Hall in Washington.

The event will begin with a champagne reception, silent auction and music by the Ram Miles Band at 1 p.m.

The live auction with auctioneer Mitchell Borenstein of Applebrook Auctions in Brookfield will begin at 3 p.m.

The GW Tavern in Washington Depot will host a patron's choice of a pre-auction brunch or a twilight supper.

The honorary chairperson is Diane von Furstenberg , and co-chairmen are Anne Bass , Christine Baranski , Candace Bushnell
, Annette and Oscar de la Renta, and Hamilton South.

Items up for bid include vacations, furniture and home furnishings, designer fashions, Broadway shows, jewelry, tickets to fashion shows, trios at noted golf clubs, getaways to celebrities' homes, Oriental rugs and gift certificates.


HVA Executive Director Lynn Werner said the auction committee is excited that the auction is moving to a larger location this year. It has previously been held at the Washington Club Hall.

Patron tickets are $125 and include reserved auction seating and a pre-auction brunch or dinner hosted by the GW Tavern.

Silver sponsorships are available at $250 per person and include seating alongside the celebrity honorary committee.

Diamond sponsors, who donate $1,000, and gold sponsors, who donate $500, will be seated at a special auction head table.

All donors at the $125 and higher levels will be recognized in the auction program.

Guest tickets for the champagne reception and silent and live auctions are $50.
