The Humane Organization Representing Suffering Equines of Connecticut based in Washington will host a horse showing on April 13.

The public is invited to meet the 27 horses, including the newest rescued horse, at the 43 Wilbur Road farm from 2 to 4 p.m.

The newest arrival was abandoned in northwestern Connecticut and is being cared for at HORSE.

"We've taken in another horse even though we are full," said Patty Wahlers, president of HORSE of Connecticut, who has rescued more than 650 horses over the last 30 years.
