HORSE of Connecticut in Washington will offer a Valentine’s Day celebration Feb. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A snow date of Feb. 11 is planned at the 38 Wilbur Road farm.

Guests can meet a variety of horses, ranging from a 30 inch mini to a 19 hand Belgian draft, on hourly tours of the farm.

In addition, the tack shop will be open, baked goods will be available and may gifts will be sold in the gift shop.

Sponsorships, which include four visits for a patron to groom and hand walk the horse of one’s choice, are available.

The organization’s featured horse is Legend, a 16’1 hand, chestnut Appendix (Thoroughbred-Quarter Horse cross) gelding that was rescued last spring when his owner could no longer care for him.

A former race horse, Legend is 15 years old and loves to trail ride with other horses or ride in the ring.

He is available for adoption, lease or sponsor.
