'Great Decisions' series under way

The Jewish Community Center in Sherman is presenting its "Great Decisions 2015" series about world affairs.

The program model involves reading the "Great Decisions Briefing Book," watching the DVD and a discussion of the most critical global issues facing America today.

All programs will be at 10 a.m. at the 9 Route 39 South center.

The topics will range from critical issues from the relationship between Israel and the U.S. to China's foreign policy.

Topics will include "Privacy in the Digital Age" May 3, "Sectarianism in the Middle East" June 10, "India Changes Course" July 12, "U.S. Policy Toward Africa" Aug. 9, "Syria's Refugee Crisis" Sept. 13, "Human Trafficking in the 21st Century" Oct. 11 and "Brazil's Metamorphosis" Nov. 8.

The cost is $50 per person.
