Grace (Montesi) Scattolini, 91, previously of Danbury, died May 15, 2008, at Glen Hill. She was the wife of the late Evo J. Scattolini.

She was born Aug. 8, 1916, in Danbury, daughter of the late Eugeneio and Caroline (Saccomandi) Montesi.

Mrs. Scattolini worked as a trimmer for Frank H. Lee Hat Company for many years. She was a very talented needle worker.

She was a member of the New Milford Senior Center.


She will be sadly missed by a son, Nicholas Scattolini of Oxford; two daughters, Carolyn Critelli and her husband Fred of New Milford, and Linda Culhane
and her husband Gary of Brookfield; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by a brother, Morris Montesi of Danbury; three sisters, Anna Tarsi, Mary Miller
and Rose Rishdan, all of Danbury; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Glenn Critelli ; a great-grandson, Peter Goral ; two sisters, Molly Massif and Josephine Forgione ; and a brother, Eugene Montesi, Jr.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated today (Friday), at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church , Danbury.
