Gallery 25 and Creative Arts Studio in New Milford is presenting an exhibit of works by Bryn Gillette through Nov. 13.

Gillette, who has not shown in New Milford for more than 11 years, will give an art talk Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. at the gallery.

The paintings in the exhibit have traveled to New York, Massachusetts, California, Oregon, North Carolina and Haiti and back to Connecticut.

After four summers, Gillette’s 12 “Haiti: Beyond the Ruins” panels are finished.

The door-size "portals" are the artist’s painted prayers that God's Kingdom come in fullness in Haiti.

Gallery 25 and Creative Arts Studio, a co-op style gallery, is overseen by New Milford Commission on the Arts.

The 25 Church St. gallery, a cooperative all fine art venue featuring works by regional artists, is open Fridays through Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.

Area artists interested in participating in the gallery are invited to stop by or email inquiries to newmilartscomm@gmail.com.
