Gary Marcus, 62, was a longtime tradesman

Mr. Marcus was born Dec. 7, 1948, in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of the late David and Frances (Abraham) Marcus.
Mr. Marcus worked as maintenance supervisor for Sealed Air Corp. in Danbury and later worked at Chromatics in Bethel.
He was a longtime tradesman who loved teaching others his skills. The people he worked with were like his second family, and he enjoyed working with them.
Mr. Marcus enjoyed his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, boating, skiing, snowshoeing and kayaking. He was a huge Yankee and Giants fan.
He enjoyed his life and sharing it with his family.
Mr. Marcus was known for believing that life should be measured by the life in your years and not the years of your life.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Marcus is survived by two sons, Adam B. Marcus, a sargeant at Danbury Police Department, and his wife, Victoria, of New Fairfield, and Matthew S. Marcus, and his wife Marcia, of Richmond, Va.; four grandchildren, Jack, Jessica, Sonni and Monique; a brother, Scott Marcus, and his wife, Barbara, of Gig Harbor, Wash.; and a sister, Judith Marcus, of New York City; and a niece, Danielle.
The Cornell Memorial Home of Danbury was in charge of arrangements.
